Wild jumbos destroy 39 houses in Galgamuwa (Sri Lanka)

Thirty nine house in the Galgamuwa Divisional Secretariat in the Kurunegala district were destroyed by wild elephants last year, reports said.
Wildlife Department records said 58 houses were destroyed in 2011 while 42 houses were destroyed in 2010 by wild elephants.
Galgamuwa, Ambanpola, Ahetuwewa and Maho Divisional Secretariat divisions belong to the Galgamuwa Wildlife Zone.
