A tusker has reportedly fallen into a well in the Kuchinda area in Sambalpur district.
According to reports, the incident has occurred in Panapalli village under the Kuchinda block area in the wee hours of Wednesday.
After seeing the elephant in the well, some villagers informed the Kuchinda forest officials, who then called for fire brigade soon.
The rescue operation was going on, sources said.
