A 35-year-old man was killed by a tusker here near Shoolagiri on Saturday.
The victim Manjunath, a resident of Thinnur village in Hosur, was employed in a granite unit in Kaamanthotti at Shoolagiri.
According to the police, the victim, who was rearing cattle, had gone into the forest tocollect fodder in the evening near Kaamanthotti.
While returning home near Gopachandhiram, he ran into the tusker, which threw him down.
This is the second human casualty this year in Krishnagiri.
