The Basavanagudi police on Friday arrested a man trying to sell elephant tusk on Old Kanakapura Road and recovered tusks weighing 15 kg from him.
The arrested has been identified as P Shankar (44), while his associate Manjunath is absconding. The arrest was made on a tip-off that two men from Dharmapuri (Tamil Nadu) were waiting for customers to sell the tusk on Old Kanakapura Road.
Basavanagudi police have registered a case.
