Family of the seven-year-old girl who was injured when two stray elephants visited mayhem on some residents of Bongo in the Upper East region is appealing for support.

The infant and an unidentified final year student of a JHS in the community were severely injured when the elephants besieged the area.

The victims are currently at the hospital receiving treatment.

But her family says they cannot bear the cost of her medical treatment alone and needs support from kind-hearted individuals.

This is not the first time elephants have plagued specific districts in the northern part of the country.
