On Wednesday, September 7, 2016, a Council of Ministers was held from 11:00 to 12:45 at the Palace of the Presidency of the Republic in Abidjan under the chairmanship of His Excellency Alassane Ouattara, President of the Republic, Head of State.
The agenda of the meeting included the following items . . .
6- Under the Ministry of Forestry, in conjunction with the Ministry to the Prime Minister for the Budget and the Portfolio of the State, the Ministry of Solidarity, Social Cohesion and the Compensation for Victims and Ministry to the Prime Minister in charge of Economy and Finance; The Council adopted a Communication on the resolution of human-rhino conflict in the department M’batto.
Unfortunately, our country recorded several outbreaks of conflict human-wildlife (elephants, buffalo, hippos, crocodiles . . . ) distributed on the national territory, causing considerable human and material damage.
Also, the Government has decided to undertake specific actions, moving animals to the zoo of Abidjan, to reduce the threat and inconvenience to the people.
