(ODISHA):Forest officials of Balasore and Mayurbhanj districts have adopted a unique method to drive away the marauding elephants from neighbouring West Bengal and Jharkhand. They have pitted horses against the jumbos.
Six male horses have been deployed in Dukura, Betnoti and Rasgobindpur ranges in Mayurbhanj to chase the rampaging herd. Started as an experiment, the idea has worked wonders.
