Kenya: Elephants Stray Into Farms

Elephants strayed into Vumilia village in Kiu sublocation, Makindu, on Wednesday night.
 
Assistant chief Francis Mweu said vegetables, maize, cassava and bananas in residents’ farms worth millions of shillings was destroyed.
 
Mweu said the elephants that strayed from Chyullu Hills National Park have been invading the area for six months.
