Today, Kenyan celebrities will be joined by Eastern African stars for the Ndovu Zetu Concert at the United Nations Recreational Grounds, from 1pm to 8pm.

Top artistes performing at the concert include Sauti Sol, Sarabi, Emmanuel Jal, Juliani and visiting artistes Vanessa Mdee from Tanzania and Syssi Managa from Congo Brazzaville.

Yesterday, the stars shot a music video to create awareness on protecting wildlife, with emphasis on the elephant. The song, Tusimame, celebrates Kenya’s wealth and natural heritage in wildlife.

“Music is a powerful and positive force to entertain, engage and motivate listeners as well as musicians themselves. It can also change the world! The Ndovu Zetu Concert showcases the talent and the passion of young musicians who are willing to share their musical gifts to benefit elephant conservation and environmental sustainability for many years to come. This concert promises to become the soundtrack of a new generation willing to advocate to save these magnificent but endangered species from imminent extinction,” said Sean Southey, the Chief Executive Officer of PCI Media Impact, the main concert sponsors.

The concert is also sponsored by Wildlifedirect, Kenya Wildlife Festival, Kenya Wildlife Service and Blankets and Wine.
