A ranger and two residents were injured by wild animals in Laikipia in two separate incidents.

Kenya Wildlife Service ranger Stephen Mwangi had his ribs and head injured by a marauding buffalo on Wednesday evening.

“Stephen has been stitched in hospital and is out of danger,” KWS corporate communications manager Paul Udoto told the Star on the phone yesterday.

On the same day, an elephant charged at and injured two residents.

The two are in stable condition, Udoto said.
