TWO suspected poachers have been arrested with six pieces of ivory on the Nairobi-Nakuru highway.
Kinangop police boss Chome Yawa said the suspects were intercepted at a roadblock near Maches centre on the highway on Wednesday.
He said police, acting on a tip-off, impounded the car used by the suspects.
Speaking to the Star on the phone yesterday, Yawa said investigations have been launched to establishe the source of the ivory.
“The suspects are in police custody and will help us with investigations,” he said.
