Bhubaneswar: An old woman succumbed to injuries after being trampled over by a wayward tusker in Hatigoda village of Banki Forest Range under Rourkela Forest Division on Thursday.
According to sources, the woman identified as Marshall Haro, a resident of Hatigoda accidentally came in direct path of the jumbo which has created a reign of terror in the area for past few days and became a victim.
Meanwhile, the local police have recovered her body as forest officials are trying to drive the wild pachyderm into the deep jungle.
