MYSURU: A tribal man identified as Kenche Gowda (50) was trampled to death by a wild elephant in the Cauvery Wildlife Sanctuary on Wednesday. Meanwhile a herd of four wild elephants which strayed into Gubbi taluk have destroyed crops at Singonahalli and surrounding villages in Tumakuru. Farmers lost plantain, areca and coconut crops worth at least Rs 5 lakh.
