Panthalloor: Wild tuskers roaming the residential areas of Ayyankolly near here even during day time are creating panic among locals.

On Friday, a rogue elephant walked down the highway and stay put behind the Primary Health Centre at Ayyankolly during day time.

People passing through the Kolappali highway panicked seeing the tusker right beside them. Natives also refrained from going to the Health Centre.

Nearby hamlets of Thattampara and Channakkolli also face regular elephant raids.
Besides widespread destruction to crops, humans have also been attacked by the elephants.
