Ugandan Wildlife authorities confiscated 500kg of Ivory tusks that were being smuggled to Singapore.

“We impounded the ivory on Friday at Entebbe airport. The ivory pieces were immersed in cassava flour and sealed in four metallic containers,” said UWA spokesperson Jossy Muhangi.

“Our scans identified the sealed ivory, and the consignment is now with the airport police,” Muhangi added.
