A video of wild elephants attacking a KSRTC (Kerala State Road Transport Corporation) bus on the Bandipur forest route is going viral on social media. The video posted on YouTube three weeks ago has 4000+ views. The video shows elephants passing by the route through which the bus was passing. The bus was stopped very close to the elephants after the driver spotted the herd. The agitated elephant then shakes the bus that disturbed its herd. When it moves a little away, the driver is seen taking the bus to the left and driving away. Nobody was injured in the incident.

It is not clear as to when exactly the video posted by Dileep Thekkethil was taken.

Night traffic is banned through this route. Two national highways connecting Gundlupet and Wayanad, and Gundlupet and Ooty cut through the Bandipur forest and vehicles are banned post 9pm along this route to avoid conflict as many animals pass through this way during night time as several animals were in the past knocked down or run over by speeding vehicles.
