A two-day conference on nature, especially on elephants, will begin from tomorrow with participation of experts from across the world, inclduing the US, UK, Myanmar along with those from India. “This conference is an important event in the calender with many world-famous experts deliberating on the climate and its impact on nature. The purpose of this conference is to talk about botany, which is the basic of our life,” said Ranjit Barthakur of Balipara Foundation – the organiser. He infomred that a website will be launched during the conference regarding information and discussion over elephants between common people and experts.
The conclave – Eastern Himalayan Naturenomics Forum 2016 – will delve into the challenges and successes in ecological rehabilitation of the natural landscapes.
